I mean, it's quite the opposite. It's easy to take out leagues upon leagues of faceless nameless things. That's easy. You don't have to empathise with them, you never agree with them, you dont share emotions and feelings with them. They are faceless bodies whose whole purpose is to just die at the hands of the MC. But when they can argue back... when you share emotions. When they look you dead in the eyes and tell you they want to live just like you. Because like you they have that right. Well can you sinply gun them down after that? Because only a monster would do such a thing... and you're not a monster right? It's why faceless nameless enemies never work even remotely close to named in your face let's talk villains.

It's one thing to know math, it's another thing to use it creatively. Same with the military expertise. USAF personnel grew up on Earth surrounded by the military ideas, then they joined the service and were taught to fight and think strategically. The Asgard, on the other hand, are way beyond this. It's like when a scientist cannot watch an inaccurate movie and not notice the mistakes.
@TheWarmaker01
3 жыл бұрын
@@jozefpecha3020 but in the context of the show the Asgard clearly state they need another perspective to draw from, like when Carter had their advanced warship self destruct stopping a replicator attack in Small Victories or when Jack was in the Ancient's sleep unit Thor came around to ask for help cause they knew somehow Jack had the Ancients knowledge in his head again, thus why getting a mind imprint would make sense - the Asgard don't want to bring humanity into a war we couldn't win but recognize that ballistic weapons were effective against replicators, they understand their way isn't the only way or the correct/most efficient way to deal with the replicators. Going off of that by getting a new perspective would have helped them greatly both tactically and strategically

Its kinda odd how Asgard just cant seem to make their own guns. They have seen how our guns look like, more or less how it works, and if they ask I am sure Hammond would be happy to "lose" a few M240s or P90s from the armory, so the asgard can take them home and study them. They can understand that projectile weapon=good, but cant make it?? Imagine how powerful an asgard gun would be; instead of lead bullet it can use some really dense material for bigget impact, the barrel can use the very heat resistant material so it can sustain fire with no problem, the gunpowder could also be alot stronger thanks to Asgard's advanced chemistry knowledge. And it would still be very effective against replicators since it is in the end still a gun, just with much better materials.

@debbiebernhardt5406

They didn't have that intel most likely. The probably modified the trap they used with a sun into a black hole instead of dialing a black hole because it was a dead giveaway to sensors if they could penetrate the sun atmosphere. They were adapted as the replicator were changing to scenarios that were made using Tauri tactics that they used in combat. However they had issues with them picking up things that should be targeted.
