The nostalgia this song/video evokes is overwhelming!! It's so bittersweet! There was a boy in middle school named Jonas Farrar that I was just absolutely obsessed with, he was just perfect and I secretly loved him until well after high school and into our adulthood. My closest friends knew about how much I loved Jonas and after high school, we ended up running with the same group of friends going to concerts together and such. I finally told him that I had had a deranged obsession with him in middle school but at the time I told him, I was married with 2 stepsons and the feelings had calmed down drastically. He actually got kind of mad at me and said that I should have told him back then because he would have absolutely dated me back then. 😔 He died not very long after that conversation. I wish I would have said something back then, but I'm glad I finally got to tell him before he left this world. He always made me think of Wayne static. He dressed like him and did his hair in crazy ways all the time. Man, I miss both of them. I hope Jonas and Wayne got to meet wherever they are now. 🥰😁 Sorry for ranting and being weird. 😒

I remember I saw Static X in Kansas city @ the Beaumont Club in 2002. They were with Soulfly, Soil and a local band that opened up for them. Truly an amazing experience and show. At the the time I was reinventing my band, so I hung around after the show and the privilege of meeting Wayne, Tony and Faduko for some advice. Never will I forget that moment.......Wayne, you will forever be missed and loved......R.I.P, Brother!

+Mark Speza Those who say that are probably "trve" metalheads, but what they don't know is that Static-X are, along with SYL and Fear Factory the precursors of the "wall of noise" we find in many hardcore and death metal bands nowadays

Awesome story. I can almost imagine my younger self doing the same, but I found a Judas Priest: Hell Bent For Leather LP on an 8-track. Judas Priest reshaped my whole way of thinking and I approached life with more hunger and drive ever since.

for real, nobody talks about that tbh. i'm recording an album and the bonus track is i'm with stupid and for once i nailed that "ooooh", that alone is so damn difficult to pull off the way he does and i'm a death metal singer, so in theory it shouldn't be that hard, but his technique is far more well developed than most "screamers" and just because he rarely went all out, nobody notices this

Metal Disco.... Static made that shit a thing. And it sounded incredible live. The energy everywhere in the show was nuts. Static had strippers bringing the whole band out shots of Jack after every song 😆 fucking legendary. Everyone in the place was wasted having a blast, the pits were some of the craziest I've seen! RIP

I hadn't even heard of them nor listened to one single song I just wanted to test out my cassette player on my way up to Camp for the Summer ( I was only 12 then ) I didn't stop playing it all summer. got my older brother into it as well and we both became Fans. They were also my very first Concert experience. Still a hardcore fan til this day! RIP Wayne
