In the second chapter of his exclusive CV Stories interview with The Coaches' Voice, England assistant manager Steve Holland reflects on the first three seasons of his eight-year spell with Chelsea.
Having joined the club as reserve-team manager under Carlo Ancelotti in 2009, Holland nevertheless worked closely with the first team and was promoted to assistant first-team coach when André Villas-Boas replaced Ancelotti in the summer of 2011. Here, Holland describes the changes Villas-Boas tried to make to an experienced squad in his ultimately unsuccessful spell at Stamford Bridge, before reliving Chelsea’s incredible run to the 2012 Champions League final - by which time he was assistant manager under Roberto di Matteo.
