This is especially true considering that nowadays a lot of people buy F-150s and Rams when they don't need them.

as a child of the early eighties command line, who grew into the internet of the 90s and cellphones of the millennium, his words ring much truer. Think of everything you use in a day with a chip in it and you realize how much his words mean and how much he contributed to this change away from pcs. Excuse my errors in typing, lately I get most of the computing I need from my smartphone.

The Ironic thing about this BS is that PCs (I think he means large Towers) are still around.. they just won't sell as well as they did in the 90s, but for real work (movie editing, photo editing, music mixing, 3D rendering, etc.) everyone I know uses one. Only a few people have a tablet for SUPER small work that is not very important or accurate. When it comes to "Trucks being obsolete" (Idea they were hinting at) it's total BS even in 2010 (when this interview took place) the number of Trucks/SUVs sold were 53% of the market. However, I do think Apple and Steve Jobs, hit the nail right on the head when it came to the iPad, it was shiny, sleek, sexy on the outside. He helped create a market that Microsoft realized was there, but didn't have the 'eye for design' to properly exploit it. We will never be in a post-PC (Large Tower) world, those things are just too powerful and you have too much control over your work, a notebook, tablet, smartphone will never be able to replace it.

2013 Apple: We live in the Post-PC world. 2020 Apple: iPad is a PC now. Also, trucks are fastest growing sectors of the Automobile market. Given the money Cletus spends on Trucks, they have to be the most profitable.

NICE talk Steve. This is the 2nd time I listen to this and its amazing! Everytime Bitcion price crashes, I watch videos on Steve Jobs talking and to tune into his struggle of convincing 80's people how PC will take over the world. Its perfectly fitting for Bitcoin revolution guy like me! Thank you Steve Jobs! You started the PC revolution, we will finish it with a with the Digital Financial Revolution (To hell with Central banks!).

Why? The main computing device people primarily use ceased to be a personal computer.

I wish I saw this video two years ago. Not for the video itself. But for the comment that makes whites look xenophobic. We're not all that way. I guess nobody ever forced another culture on the nations of the Iroquois, Cherokee, Sioux, Aztecs, Incas, Hawaiians, etc. Japan and Korea were never told to make special districts near ports for the benefit of white sailors. And their cultures haven't changed a bit by western influence. Neither has the Philippine or Polynesian cultures been changed. The British never involved themselves in India and the Middle East. And they never dumped their convicts on Australian Aborigines. And Africa was never colonized by Europeans. And the natives of South Africa created apartheid because they wanted whites to come along and oppress them. I guess that "EVERY white country" that's been told to give up its culture must include Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuanian, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. And the rest of European culture is doing fine. And I know you don't mean the United States. Because the United States was never a White country with a White culture. Having multiple races and cultures has always been part of the Americas. Or did blacks force whites to bring them to America as cargo. Saying that others are no longer welcome isn't defending American culture, it's changing it. And for the person who posted the video. I'm sorry, none of these comments have anything to do with the video itself. I came here because your video was linked on the Cortex show notes. Thanks.
