My son was diagnosed with bone cancer through his whole skeleton last year which had originated from stage 4 stomach cancer. He was given between 6 months to a year to live, but the oncologist offered chemo and immunotherapy which might give him another year. He received it fortnightly. It didn’t make him sick and he didn’t lose his hair. He was well looked after because he was in the defence force. He played golf every weekend and cooked for himself, as the woman he lived with didn’t cook, or do anything for him. He suffered with nausea and vomiting but the worst was his headaches which became unbearable, and scans showed no tumour in his brain. Eventually he was given a lumbar puncture which showed LMC. it’s a type of cancer in the spinal fluid and there’s no treatment for it, and apparently death occurs in a couple of weeks after diagnosis. About only 5% of patients get it. My son had a terrible death, a year after being diagnosed with stomach and bone cancer. He was 58 and died about 9 weeks ago. I miss him so and can’t stop thinking about him. Life is cruel sometimes.

I’m sorry he had to go through that but glad it’s over. Lost my father to prostate cancer in August, 2019. So many things went unsaid. God bless you. ❤

My father had Gastric Carcinoma. He smoked and drank with customers in our pub. One day he had a massive heamoptesis and never drank another drop. Many years later he developed cancer. He had a total gastrectomy followed by a second op for intestinal volvulous. Meanwhile his health deteriorated. It if wsn’t for his daughter(myself) a trained nurse finding out that cyanocobslamine injections were not prescribed he would have ended there. He survived another 20 years into his 80s albeit in an emaciated state. Towards the end he returned to smoking and metastatic cancer had returned. His surgeon was overwhelmed by the success and had dad attend his lectures. He was very interested in how mother fed him. One of the things she fed him was beef tea. I think that having been the best athlete in his regiment, not overweight and having a very strong heart lay in his favour.
