Austin seriously didn’t have a good reason to turn heel. Maybe if the crowd turned on him during the feud but he messed up big time. JR sold the heel turn in amazing fashion but Austin’s heel run sucked. He went from a psychotic heel to a funny heel and then it got ridiculous. At least if the fans turned on him, he could have said something to the effect of, “you pieces of trash thought I forgot you turned on me” and it would have been justified.
