slick looking case! for me, the real trick with the cables is getting PSU's with sleeved cables. they're so much more flexible. to eat up cable length I create "S" shapes so that I can take as much or as little cable as needed while trying to reach pins and ports. with the AIO tubes, I usually twist the radiator (or pump) so that when installed, the tubes make a sort of cork screw shape, this allows the tubes to coil as you button everything up. it also forces the tubes one direction or another depending on your configuration, helpful for keeping tubes from pushing and putting too much pressure on the RAM sticks. ...and that concludes Jared's tech tips, goodnight everyone! lol

I always recommend tuning your GPU and CPU voltages/clock speed. I have a mild OC on my 3090FE with a decent undervolt, and I have a -30 offset on my Ryzen 9 5900x which results in a sustained higher clockspeed, though this isn't OC'd. But if you're going to be carrying it places (which the original A4-SFX was designed for), then it will make a big difference. You can't fit this new case in a backpack easily, it's much bulkier. The steel makes it heavier too. At this new size, there are better options imo. The NCase M1 being one, I'm glad I got mine before it got discontinued.

SFF and "painful assembly process" goes hand in hand. After I put together my last rig in a FormDT1, I've decided that there is such a thing as "too small" and my next rig is probably gonna be in a NR200 or a Meshlicious case instead.
@slinkywizard

SFF doesn't have to be painful to build in, as long as you've got the right bits. I've got a Meshlicious (with 280mm EK AIO, 5800X, RTX 3070, SF750) and it was a very easy build process, far easier than this new Dan Case especially. For its size I think the Meshlicious is incredibly easy to build in, and still probably the easiest in the SFF class. I did employ the popular standoff mod (much like what Bitwit did in this vid, I used 2 x 20mm brass standoffs to raise the PCIE riser bracket for clearance for all my cabling through the middle of the case) which greatly improved my cable mgmt and getting a super clean end result. A disclaimer for first time small PC builders who happened into this video or doing research. A lot of the headache when building small PC's can be alleviated when you connect stuff first before mounting or screwing them. In big cases, you can just get away with sticking all the parts in and then connecting them later on but it's often the reverse when building small PC's. If you put parts in first before connecting your stuff, you'll find yourself squeezing your hands into uncomfortably tight crevices or be forced to remove stuff you've already screwed. So yeah, pre-route your cables and connect what needs to be connected before you mount and screw things into position.

As somebody who owns an original A4 (not even the v2 with official water cooling support), I can say that I'm very happy with my case and would 100% purchase it again over the new version. I run a 120mm AIO and an ITX GPU in mine, temps are perfectly fine as is so I see no reason to compromise on the one defining feature that makes the case as awesome as it is. A 50% increase in volume is just too much, imo.
@killerful

Are you ignoring that new GPUs are fucking huge and that new CPUs are pulling insane amounts of power? The whole point of the new case is to provide hardware compatibility with the latest and greatest components, and as such to not compromise on performance. With the old case however, it's compromising on performance. A 120mm AIO just isn't going to cut it anymore, and good luck finding a SFF GPU in this day and age. They don't exist for current top end hardware. It's just unrealistic. If you don't want top end hardware, fine. But a lot of other people do. A 50% volume increase is welcome ;)

He was probably paid by Nvidia for a sponsorship.

Man the middle market is starving right now, we need sandwich style cases to come down to the $100-150 range. Right now "affordable" ITX options are the Silverstone SG13 ($60ish), the Cooler Master NR200(P)($100), a handful of AliExpress/Taobao suss options, and that's about it. I love the look of the Thorzone Mjolnir, but not the $300 price and months long wait.

my biggest problem with small form factor now is the PSU's... CPUs and GPUs are sucking up more power and SFX capacities haven't gotten any bigger and they're more likely to fail when rated for the same wattage as full size PSUs. I've killed a 800W silverstone using a gtx970 and an old 2600k; and trying to get a refund or replacement was a nightmare that i gave up on. The biggest ones are 850W now and i'm supposed to trust that for modern high end gpu's and cpu's?

Is there a blur on the GPU in the wall PC at the start of the video?
@HMarcBower

Yeah.... it just says Radeon (you can see it when his hand moves too close and the blur goes away). Not sure why.
@P2PC

@@HMarcBower Its happened before I think, Its probably because he took an Nvidia sponsor and as a result cant show or mention competitor products.

If the rad fans are sketchy and could rub cables/hoses, can they go on the other side of the radiator so the fans pull air through the rad?

Is there a reason RADEON is blurred out on the GPU at the start of the video?
@P2PC

Because he took a sponsor from Nvidia. Hence why he only showed and mention Nvidia products.

Why is the radeon logo on your wall mounted pc blurred out?

Maybe Nvidia sponsored the video? I’m not entirely sure myself.

on the matter of psu, I have a 3950x, and am getting the same card you used in this system. I have a RM750x (2018) Corsair. Should I get a 850w, or a 1000w?

150-180 U$D is VERY competitive since I bought a Lian Li Gen 4.0 PCIe riser cable from Amazon for $85. It is very HIGH quality and have tested very well with it on my 6900Xt Blue Devil [U] since December 2021👌. I'm happy with Lian Li so far.

Man, look at the dust ring on the original Dan case. Dan 2.0 looks nice man. I wish it came in other colors though.

One thing I would say would be great is custom cables. not for show but for optimal length.
