I think the easiest would be the main island of Tonga or some other small island nation. Also, Finland from Oulu to Suomussalmi. People would provide you with food, drinks, support and everything. You can go anywhere except 100 metres from someone's house, that's in the law. But most people would welcome you to their yards and houses. Of course you should have a bear whistle and also mind the wolves :)

Absolutely fantastic, Tom. Largely because of you, I am planning a 60-some mile kayak trip down our local creek for this fall, from the beginning to termination of the creek - likely a 4 day solo journey. Hope to document it in a similar vein. Can't wait for part 2!

Tbh with the way Americans pronounce "oregano", they're basically asking for it to be pronounced that way.

Haha it's like when Americans can't pronounce Leicester or Southwark correctly. "Lie-Chester" 😂

Imagine a “mission across Switzerland” or “mission across Iceland”

Switzerland would be hard, I agree. From north to south you have to cross the Alps sooner or later which is impossible unless you have an army of elephants at your disposal. There's a chance you could get from the NE Bodensee to the SW Lac Leman in a slightly curved line but it's all either buildings, highways or railroads there.

Switzerland is only possible if you do some sort of cross section East to West /West to East in the northern part of the country, even then you will have to face buildings cities and such. But yeah the alps in the south, you can go through them, but in a straight line ? no it's literally suicidal Andorra might be possible, I'm not sure though. Or like any region of a european country, not the country itself

Surprisingly enough Thomas Ulrich has crossed Switzerland in a straight line a few years ago. He went on the longest possible straight line from west to east through the alps. The Direttissima that he did is an absolutely insane feat.

Made my evening this mate, cracking! The only thing missing from the 1st mission in hindsight was a healthy dose of Welsh Greg. Proper inspiration to go off on adventures with my mates once this has all cleared up.
