Stratton is an ancient town in north Cornwall. With footage taken from the Ministry of Information film Cornish Valley we have a very brief glimpse of Stratton (before road widening at Howell's Bridge in 1976) and its market in 1944. There's a good view of Spicer's Lane and of the men heading to the Tree Inn. With thanks to Tim Martindale for his help in identifying the location of the clips shown.
