STREET SHARKS is a jawsome animated series from the 90s that came into being because of the popularity of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (And a desire for Mattel to sell toys.) But you know what? It holds up. In fact, I think the time is NOW for Mattel to ride their Barbie movie high right into a live-action reboot of Street Sharks.
So let’s talk about the Street Shark, recap the first three episodes, thirst over Dr. Robert Bolton, and imagine what a Street Sharks movie could look like.
This video took a longer-than-usual time to make because I included a lot of things - and because my full-time job is taking up waaaaaay more of my life than it should - hence the extended delay in posting.
Yes, neon yellow is not a flattering color on me. And it made the overall color balance weird sometimes. But that’s how COMMITTED I was to this outfit concept. (And it was too hot to wear a shark costume.)
By the way, I know there was a Hot Wheels cartoon in the 60s/70s that had characters - I vaguely referenced it near the beginning of the video. But no one remembers those characters. People think of Hot Wheels and they think of toy cars. So I think it’s a weird franchise for a movie.
Upcoming Videos:
-We don’t need the next live-action Disney Princess reboot. The perfect version already exists!
-Stargate: A surprising intersection of fanfic and canon.
