I have to say, you are the first recovery team that actually uses snatch blocks the correct way on off road jobs. Instead of using a yank'em rope for every recovery. I've been towing and doing recoveries all my life and I'm 60 now. My hats off to you in that respect. Keep learning! no one knows it all.

When pulling backwards it helps to turn away or opposite the direction your pulling (turn driver to have front go towards passenger) the tires will assist you back on the road, path or trail.... not always full proof but works really well. Great recovery in bad conditions...

Here are the steps to deactivate the chime (picked this up from another forum, should be in the owner's manual, too): 1. turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, and buckle your seat belt while sitting in the drivers seat. 2. turn the ignition key to the ACCESSORY/RUN position (engine does not need to be running), and wait for the seat belt warning light to turn off. 3. unbuckle and then re-buckle your seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending with theseat belt buckled. then start the jeep. (i don't know if starting is necessary, but i did it) 4. turn the ignition key to the OFF position. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming. next time you start the jeep, you'll hear the initial fasten seat belt chimes, but the continuous chiming reminder will be turned off. the light in the dash will remain on, though.

Another great video. Dont feel bad about wearing out you rig helping people, just dont let your rig catch you lying to it. i'm putting another engine in mine now, because i destroyed the org. engine recovering a dodge ext cab on 36's stuck in skidder ruts and i did get it out. It was a good thing i trailered it to the river bottoms that it was located at. the used engine i replaced it with wasnt much better so now im doing it again. Keep'em rolltng.
