Something about vocals like that and a Hammond organ....gives me the freaking chills in the best way

This is the first time I've ever heard Bell Bottom Blues covered. It's the keening in the original that makes it so brilliant.

@@toddstone9727 weird that you reply today. Yesterday YT offered me a live version from Tedeschi Trucks, and I remembered making this comment. She has that keening in her vocals. so, yeah, thanks.

@Rose Hawk Not a country song, but you think Sturgill ain't country? He's country as hell! Listen to High Top Mountain or his new bluegrass album for God's sake. Sturgill can literally do it all, but to say he's not country is just stupid.
@bikkk57

@Rose Hawk Self classification is kind of moot. I've listened to everything he's ever done, as well as Possum and Haggard. Country is more than a type of music. A man born and raised in rural Kentucky who knows how to hunt and fish, is country. Just in the way I am. I'm not saying everything he's ever put out is a Country album. I'm well aware that Sound and Fury, and Sailor's Guide are far more Rock oriented. But to suggest that he's not country in any way is just silly. Rather you see yourself as that or not, it is what it is. As a black guy from rural NC I know good and damn well that I'm country rather I like it or not. It doesn't matter than Led Zeppelin and The Ramones are my favorite bands. Country is a part of my identity. Can't hide roots.

No offense to Sturgill's guitar playing, which is quite good, but he used to have this amazing lead guitarist named Laur James, also known as Little Joe. Are they no longer playing together?

Thank you so much for your kind comment, William. Sadly we had to remove that video, along with 16 others, due to copyright issues. I am hopeful that one day these issues will be resolved and that video can be run again on my KZitem channel. I am also seeking alternative platforms where that video may be shared without breaking copyright rules. We shall see. Stay subscribed to my channel, and/or friend me on FB for future news about that awesome video. And in the meantime, share the Sturgill love!!! Thanks a million😊

Its not that difficult. I watched three vids on how to play it. Its just intricate. But playable. Maybe not all the way sing able. With the falsetto. Unless you can pull it off. Then i guess its safe to say, it should be heard live, still today, to show what music really is. And heart felt lyrics.
