Great video 😁 I’m always excited to see what video is next! I was experimenting a bit with faux leather, and I found best for me to sublimate in 400F medium to hard pressure for like 20-30 seconds and then leave it to cool down (that’s the trick) and that way the ink sticks better. Hope this helps in any way ! ☺️

Hi Taysha! Thank you and thank you for your comment!!!! That is very good advice, thank you! We have it in our plans to do a faux leather video as well so we'll keep your temperature in mind!

Hi guys. Lets get to the basics of sublimation is. It is a fusion of gas dye that fuses with the synthetic strands if the polyester via heat. It will not work with leather because leather is solid. so the dye will not penetrate as to exactly what happens with cotton when you sublimate it. Yes it will look awesome for a while but it will fade. spraying a substrate on will eventually crack because leather bends and is not stiff. That is how I sublimate onto wood, spraying a substrate on letting it dry and then press my artwork on. Thanks for videas keep it going guys. From sunny South Africa

Hi! Thank you for the info! Yes, we agree, that's what we saw for the bigger leather pieces with did in a previous video. For this one, since the patches are smaller and don't bend that much they seem to be ok so far. In the past I did use heat transfers on leather instead, and that process worked perfectly, I've had some of the pieces for more than 15 years. We will do a vid in the future 😁 Hola from sunny Argentina!

We get ours here in Argentina! But you can for sure get it on Amazon 😊. Also, over the years I have also tested heat transfers and those don't fade for a LONG time, I still have pieces from 10 years ago 😀😊😀

Great video! Question... have you noticed any fading on the polycrylic treated leather?

Hi Koryne, thank you for your question! We haven't used them much since we printed them but we checked them today and they haven't faded at all since we printed them. Hope that helps! 😃
