I’m literally in the process of building slicer! Did you mean because jeweled lotus is banned slicer is no longer effective? And if you have a deck list to share that would be cool!
@ThatsAGoodCard
21 күн бұрын
@@bradenlarson9146 I think both mana crypt, dockside, and jeweled lotus being banned all hurt the explosive turn 1 speed of slicer. That being said, there’s a world where the whole meta slowing down can benefit slicer. I’d say play some games with the updated ban list and see how it feels before writing off slicer completely!
@Vance4543P

@bradenlarson9146 Slicer is already such a hard deck to win with. You always mulligan to a turn one Slicer hand, and this makes it almost impossible to do that.

Onslaught. Red Enchantment. 2RR. Activated ability is 1R: Sacrifice a creature. Onslaught deal damage to any target equal to the sacrificed creature’s power. The art is an impressionistic Richard Kane Ferguson battle scene. Soldiers with shields clashing and spears in the arrow. A brigade of goblins charge in the foreground.

If you can do an episode on the bans or even just taking one of the cards like dockside and look at it subjectively at each level of play (pre con, casual, high power and cedh) where one of you is for the ban, the other against. That would be a good episode.

@@ThatsAGoodCard totally fair. Not asking necessarily for a rant. Just a think piece about the impact of such a ban and the competitive space as a whole. These cards have been staple cards in the format and in no small way reshape the game moving forward in big ways. As competitive players, where do you see this going? What road could this pave for future bans? How will the Meta shift to adjust to changing winds and what new commanders do you think are going to rise to the top? Questions like that ☺️ Edit: tbh I did NOT see Jeweled Lotus getting the ban hammer. That was the one card I least expected. I thought Sol Ring would have been banned before that

I just recently got into cedh and have been enjoying your channel! I'm playing Talion and I'm a little worried the new bans have made the deck way worse. Certainly Crypt and Lotus were quite strong for getting Talion out early. What do you guys think about the viability of that deck?
@ThatsAGoodCard
22 күн бұрын
@@henryjones8636 I’m a Talion pilot, and I think it’s fine for Talion because Talions whole gameplan is to slow people down and get to the midrange game. The only reason we were rushing to get Talion out before was to be able to have a say when something hit the board fast. With this change I think Talion is EV+
