This was the time they took recordings to make The Greatest Album 4 Way St- I always wish they had included a full version of SJBE- Crosby really makes great contributions with his singing and rhythms. Stills is just great- every time he plays this, he plays a different solo- always great!. You know you have a masterpiece when the audience applauds after every verse at the end!

I haven't heard many versions of this with Neil Young, some interesting new vocal harmony patterns, and someone sang a slightly incorrect lyric in the second movement xD Always happy to listen to another version of this song, one of my favorites!

I have seen csn&y 3 times. 1974, 2000, 2002 and he never was onstage when they played it.what was funny I saw the stills young band in 1976 and they played it.

Wow. That's really great! Have not heard this version. Live isn't better, but it usually is. This is version has that great live quality. Too bad about the static. Thanks for sharing.

The 4-way Street album on had 30 seconds on the end of this - I suspect they ruled it out due to it being somewhat inconsistent harmonically. Yet it has some great musicality in it. Too bad it wasn't included on the deluxe release that came out.

Nope. That was a different night. Stills' woops and yells are different. But, I do agree with you on why the entirety of it wasn't on the 4WS reissue in 1992. It should've been there. I suppose it wasn't included on the original because it was already on the Woodstock soundtrack a year prior. Plus, Atlantic would've had to remove a couple songs on 4WS for it to fit on the record. I'd be fine with Lee Shore and 49/America's Children being removed in favor of SJBE.
