That little port town is right up my alley. I would definitely enjoy walking around checking out the shops and eateries.

We did indeed! I don’t think we have any European adventures in our 2025 other than the end of our “pole to pole” cruise, but hopefully we can insert some into 2026!! :D

When we got diverted to Portland in May, it turned into a surprise favourite. There was a festival and fair going on at the same time, as it was a long weekend. It was fantastic. I highly recommend visiting.

Our stop in LeHavre was changed to Portland because of striking workers in France. We enjoyed Weymouth. All the shopkeepers were so friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our explorations. It is a lovely seaside village. It had better shopping than many of our previous Scandinavian ports with much better prices.

I did enjoy Weymouth on my last cruise, I only saw part, but loved the walkability. I think that construction was also there in 2023 😃 Like your overview of the place and charity shops. Also the send of in Portland was entertaining.

As a UK viewer it’s so lovely seeing Weymouth through your eyes, we have family in nearby Dorchester so know Weymouth well. If you ever find yourselves back there Nothe Fort is worth an explore, lovely views too. Also “birder” Dee would appreciate Chesil Beach between Portland and Weymouth,, nice little nature centre

Oh nice! We thought about visiting Portland Castle or the Nothe Fort but decided to have a fun shopping day. We’ll have to hit at least one of those next time around. Thanks for the tip about the nature center too!! :D

Portland Bill Lighthouse is worth a visit too :) When the 2012 Olympics were in London the watersports were in Weymouth and Portland and there are huge olympic rings on a viewpoint on Portland. Stay safe

Great video. Weymonth was a beautiful town. Looking forward to your take on your stops in Spain. Went to University, lived in Spain for 15 years. Looking forward to your take as a visitor. Enjoy your extra day a drift while storm passing. Also like you showing the Sun (ship) more. Stay safe.

O'Malley's is so fun. My favorite evening venue when I was on the Enchanted 9/14-21. Yea if you want a seat you really need to come before food service begins and a few nights I stayed for all 3 sets. The songs are interactive and so fun and just a great vibe. I liked my Bailey's cheesecake when I had dined there, and the fish n chips was great for a main.

We’ve been twice now and made sure to get there well ahead of 5:00pm with great luck, even though food service didn’t start until half an hour later. Anything from about 5:45pm onward, not much chance of getting a seat!! :P
