My mom has a drop-in style stove. It's just like a regular oven/stove, but it doesn't reach the floor and the controls are up front instead of the back. The oven part stopped working, but the burners on top were still functioning. She told me she heard a loud pop when it broke. I checked the burners first and they were ok and ordered a replacement control board. I was shocked how easy it was to replace and it fixed the problem for her. The part cost around $160 but I bet you can find it cheaper online. A whole new drop in stove cost about $1600 currently at the big box store so she wanted me to try to fix it first. The stove is a Frigidaire brand, but I think this is a pretty common unit and chances are if you have similar symtoms this may be the fix. After replacing the board, I show in the old one where it was clearly visibly damaged. This may have you troubleshoot if this is the same problem with yours first before actually buying any replacement parts. For reference, her stove is Frigidaire model number: FED365ESA
The part number I replaced was: Electrolux 318414214
which is the clock timer control module. I think the part for black ones would be 318414215 instead. Looks like the part is manufactured by a company called Spitfire Controls Inc. for Electrolux and is listed as part number SF5341-L7120-E and has model number 316557120 on the actual one that was in the box.
