Does anyone use steel wedges anymore? I've been told they are less grabby and go in easier, and are a bit thicker.

@timberfallingcouple Hello Phil 👋 just wondering about you and Sadie getting out some of your pro sharpening techniques, not your secret tec, just curious, as we all know there's many on the tube, with advice, kinda like your M tronics over the good old saws as you talked about, you know what I mean, anyways keep up your great vids Phil, thanks .

@@JohnnyIDive37 hey! I've actually got that in the works today. I just edited a video about what a "lay" is in timber falling along with why/when/how we buck logs. The next few after that will be on grinding and hand filing 😊 appreciate the request, and if you ever have anymore I'll talk with Phil about it!

It’s surprising to me that you’re one of the timber fallers that’s NOT running a Stihl lightweight bar. Very surprising!

He finds no reason to be using a light bar and doesn’t have me running one either. 🤷🏼♀️

They suck. All they do is pull chips into the rail and jam up. Due to the front sprocket/nose gap being too big.

@@peterdavies6587 on the high side that's absolutely not true, if you see high stumps there is always a reason for us. Sometimes it's for safety, sometimes it's for other trees to hang on steeper ground. Hard concepts to comprehend when you don't actually do this for a living out here.
