I wanted to learn more about Krashen's input hypothesis, but I also wanted more Japanese input...たまたま「インプット仮説」を調べてみたらこの動画が出てきました。すごく勉強になりました。本当に英語を習得したい日本人の友達にこの動画を送ります!

Are you a foreigner?Thank you for watching the video! I believe the theory will help all Japanese English learners. 日本の英語教育もこの考えに基づいてデザインされるべきですね。 English education at Japanese school should be designed based on this.
I have taught English to adults in Japan for many years, but I’m not an academic, and I had never heard of Stephen Krashen. I often watch my wonderful, intelligent students struggle with English communication, and one of their biggest pitfalls is mentioned at 16:25 (自己監視).

Each of my students has an incredibly rich life story to share with the rest of the world, but they feel such shame at each grammar mistake. I stress the importance of “Input! Input! Input!” as the best way to improve their language output, often to confused expressions. “Input? But I want to learn how to SPEAK!” I have courses beginning next week with 70 adult learners. I’m going to share this video. Thank you for explaining this concept!

I like it when they sit there for ten seconds searching the hard drive for one word but then try to make up for lost time by spitting out easy phrases as fast as possible. LOL

@@mapinoita279 Understandable. It takes so much electricity to search their HDD like that.

I love Krashen's work! I've read 3 of his books! I'm also studying Japanese so this video was very good "Comprehensible input" for me haha🙌🙏

Thank you for watching and leaving your comment. What is the most impressive for you among the three books? I've only read "the power of reading" as a book, and some articles and papers of him.
