Thanks for watching! No, not really a trained chef or even a cook. I did work at a fish camp (seafood restaurant) from 16 - 21 yrs old though.

I am a complete beginner. Any chance there is a written recipe with measurements on this recipe? I just don’t really have a point of reference of “add a little”…… sorry. Just looking for some guidance. This looks absolutely delicious and can’t wait to try it! I just need a little more on the measurements. 🤷♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ I would appreciate it. Thanks so much!!

Turn your can opener (or any hand held) on its side, clamp it on the can, then turn the knob. I saw this on KZitem. Before i saw that i always struggled with hand held can openers. Not any more. 😊. Thanks for the delicious looking recipe.

Velveting is what you’re doing with the cornstarch.
@thehungryhussey
Жыл бұрын
Well, that's close. Velveting is usually cornstarch and egg white, and then blanching it in oil or water to be stir fried later.

@@thehungryhussey There are many ways to velvet, but the simplest form is cornstarch and oil. You coated with cornstarch and the oil is on the griddle.

I have the can opener that you used here... Your supposed to lay it horizontal so that it is laying across the can so the blade is cutting the sides and around the can, not from the top down. Try that and you will see how well it works. The method also works with most of your can openers that most of us have in our drawers :)

On average everyone’s first knuckle is about an inch long. This is a long tried and true method. Basically, no matter how much rice you cook, the water should be an inch over the rice.

How do I know it's good before I made it, is because I know I'm good. 😂 Actually, I most times shoot the intro last so I can describe how and what I tasted. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. Just depends. Research the knuckle test my friend. Also, I mean, did you see that rice? It was perfect. I've cooked a lot of rice and never once measured the liquid!!

As long as chicken reaches the recommended internal temp while cooking you don't need to wash it. In fact, many tests have shown that washing your chicken actually spreads bacteria more and can make things worse.
