In 1966, I saw this danced in the sweetheart position beginning 3 steps and hop, etc AND with the same steps and positions and turns you have demonstrated--danced around the dance hall in a line couple following couple. The difference was that the dancers were 80 year old grandparent couples, and a few generational family members and small children. This was in the Hispanic village communities between Santa Fe and Albuquerque NM. Live music with accordian. This was not Western or cowboy music. LOL😊 thanks for the website.

OK - Question - - how is it that you two are definitely performing the Sweetheart Schottische as a "Partner" dance - but the title of your instruction video calls it Sweetheart Schottische "Couple's" Country "Line Dance" - just curious.. Thanks.

Hi Chris. I'll be honest - I'm not really sure why I put that in the title! You're absolutely right that it's not a line dance. I originally only made these videos for guests of my wedding so they could learn how to do them before the wedding (lots of country dancing at the reception!). Then a lot of people started watching so I left them up. Guess I didn't give the title much thought. Ha!

I am looking for all the moves, I used to know them - into advanced dancing. You repeated the same one? Do you have or know of someone that does???
