Emulating an old title that's not longer for sale is commonplace, it's something we talk about frequently on this channel. But Switch emulation has continued to advance and improve.
I saw quite a lot of discussion online around the release of Zelda TotK with players discussing playing the game on an emulator. Even on other handhelds. It's rare to be in an era where a game is being emulated the day it releases.
This poses a massive threat to Nintendo. While a new Zelda game was bound to sell well, there is no doubt some sales were lost to emulation.
The frequency at which Switch emulation has advanced to this point can really only be compared to the Dreamcast disc burnings days. Or maybe ripping games on an OG Xbox. But this takes it a step farther and lets you play the games at release on other hardware.
It's a bizarre time to be living in, and it's a problem Nintendo will have it's work cut out to solve.

I've been making videos on this channel since 2013. A lot has changed since then, but today I make videos for the same reason someone may keep a diary.
It's to track and chronicle the things I am interested in at various points of my life. These videos are something for me to be able to look back on.
So why are you here? Because video games are fun and worth sharing! If that's a journey you want to be a part of, like the video and subscribe to the channel.
