I love unusual weaponry like this, and I love switchblades. Which thankfully just became legal in my state. I use a number of .22 Magnum pieces as street guns. Including the High Standard Derringer, NAA Mini Revolver, and the S&W M351C. .22 Magnum is quite capable. It will reach velocities in the 1,300 to 1,400 fps range in the 3 1/2" barrels of the High Standard Derringer, which is probably my favorite derringer ever, closely followed by the Bond Stinger in 9mm. But it does suffer substantial velocity loss in very short barrels. It still outperforms .22 LR, but not by that much until you reach around 2" of barrel. A very interesting gun nonetheless. I'd love to see a centerfire version in .32 ACP, and a .22 LR conversion cylinder for this. I'll most likely get one. The little .22 Short actually offers very surprising performance from the 1 1/8" barrel mini revolvers, and almost ballistically duplicates the .22 LR Stinger cartridge. 27 grains at 827 fps versus 32 grains at 832 fps. Unexpected. I wouldn't have thought it if I hadn't seen the results on my chronograph. Our ancestors used the .22 Short in many various tiny single action revolvers, and they seem to have done all right with it. So this ought to work well enough. I would also like to see a version with a bit more barrel. Maybe an inch longer. But that's a minor detail. Extremely cool concept.

I bought a similar mini revolver chambered in 22WM and I never thought I'd carry it as much as I do. Put it this way, I carry it around the house and have been for almost a year straight and my wife hasnt even noticed (she doesn't even know I bought it in June last year and Ive been looking for the right time to tell her but with how discreet it is, Im not sure Ill have to.) But its so lightweight I've taken it on intense hiking trips and places where people dont want you carrying, like their kid's birthday party 😆. It's perfect "beach carry" when you dont want to be seen or suspected of carrying anything at all. I feel confident that I can handle a lethal threat within self defense ranges, the 22WMR packs a punch, way more powerful than a 22LR and Ive always said that a 22LR was enough for 2 legged snakes. You get 5 shots which is 2.5 times more than the average self defense scenario shooting and the single action revolving cylinder makes it super reliable compared to auto loading counter parts when shooting rin fire ammo

I didn’t wear one as a kid until after getting knocked off my bike and getting knocked silly for more than a couple of hours. Hey Sir. Thanks for the video. I want one of these standards. I’m personally a Glock 40 cal nut. I’m a veteran but I was a cop for 34 years. I noticed several times you mentioned how. The 22 has killed animals. Well I’ve worked several murders and suicides and a 22 will do it. Basically it’s where you hit them. I like the idea just you can grab that put it in your pocket throw it in my jeep. I want to see how safe it is in your pocket. Most videos I’ve seen it seems pretty safe. Just to add a little this gun is not designed to shoot 300 rounds a day. Or target practice. Most shootings are within 3 yards and you can touch the perpetrator. It’s made to get the person off you and prevent someone else from getting on you. I’m sure it’s loud it will scare the shit out of someone plus it will draw attention to u. That’s what you want in a robbery or assault situation. Get the perps away from you or your family. I was in a restaurant the other day I counted 9 firearms, I thought well yall go be the first one they shoot then the bad guy has another gun. Plus would people know about cross fire. In a situation like that 15 innocent people could get shot from cross fire. I don’t want anyone to know what I’ve got.

There was a pair of guys checking out tactical semi auto bullpup shotguns and aiming them around arrogantly and I over heard the clerk helping them saying, "Man I know this lady who said she can kill a bear with a 22!" Everyone called BS and they all carried on to talk about the movie Cocaine Bear. I was the only one that was thinking, "shot placement, shot placement!" NO, NO, NO!!! PUT THE WEAPON ON HALF COCK BEFORE LOADING! That keeps the hammer from extending through the bleach block and interfering with sliding the cylinder in place. And after you place the loaded cylinder back in the gun, release the hammer from half cock, (you don’t have to fully cock the weapon), letting it rest on the back of the cylinder and rotate the cylinder so that the hammer will drop into one of the the notches that’s between each chamber. This is a safety feature, (Its in the manual), of the gun that’s exactly the same as what’s found with the North American Arms mini revolvers. With the hammer nose resting in the notch it’s not resting against the back of a RIM FIRE .22 Mag round. This way if the weapon is dropped and lands on the hammer the force of the fall won’t be transferred from the hammer to the round causing it to fire.
