Coming to a gym near you...daa, daa, daaaa! I can’t wait to hear the whistle and bring my game! ‘Put it on and get it on’, ‘finish strong’, ‘power through it’. Initially I wasn’t sure about the motivation but you can really tell all the ICG virtual sessions are built with integrity. What I’d really like is an FTP that auto selects the effort to the 20 on & recovery. Twisting the dial is sketchy for me as a newbie. It can take me 10 secs to set up. Worth a try though!

why are the women in the back using the aero bars, are these time trial bikes, they don't look like it. Otherwise a good looking workout!

I don't think this is the correct Tabata protocol. During a Tabata session you have to work hard for 20 seconds and than have a rest (not cycle) for 10 seconds. IN this video the athletes are always in motion even during the 10 seconds of rest!! I think this is a HIT training and not a Tabata training and then are a little different.

I can't take watching this vid. Instructional? The male riders riding position is painful to watch. Seat is too low and too far back Really it seems that only the woman in the back LH side rides. The others look like pretenders mostly in the wrong position/fit/pedal technique Also are you shouting 170% ?? of what?? what is the point of this anyway?

+Dave Lev in the original Tabata research athletes rode at 170% their power at V02 max. for example, if your measured power output at V02 max was 300 watts then at 170% you would aim for 510 watts. I can't tell but it's possible the bikes they are using display power so the "coach" is coaxing them to push themselves to that intensity to mimic the research protocol.
