Awesome video and tips. I got some great tips out of it. What do you do to train your anaerobic capacity besides TKD and MMA? I'm in the same boat where I just competed this past weekend and got breathless fast during sparring which shows me that I need to up my game on anaerobic training. I haven't been in the school training though all summer pretty much cause we've been busy- so that's a huge factor too. Thanks for all you do. I talk about you often =D

Thank you! That means a lot! The last time I competed I did 1-2 mile jogs 5 times a week as well as about 15-20mins of short sprints(15-20 secs each sprint) 3-4 times a week and doing that 2 months before my tournament helped my endurance so much! Also sprinting up stairs when available works great too!

ahha my very first match (in class) they paired me up with Master Brunz... That man (twice my age) wore me out like it was easy. That was a wake up call for sure. I am only a white belt yellow stripe at the moment. I started rucking to up my endurance and its helped a ton. anyway they told my that you never lose, you win or you learn. so i made a shirt to remind myself... I wold LOVE to see a video on counter attacks www.amazon.com/dp/B01MZZQ80V

Good training session. It is good to see that you are working on your endurance and kicking before competing in a tournament. Many times a lot of players don't realize what it is they need to work on until after they have tested or competed. Keep up the good work.

For every kick you perform with your right, do the same kick 2-3 times with your left. You'll slowly gain more control and then power over time.

Lots of practice, I'm still working on my left leg spinning hook kick and the main thing is just keep drilling it and if its sloppy then try and figure out what I need to fix to make it sharper. More you throw with good technique the better you will get :)

I'm actually commuting from Lincoln Nebraska to Omaha Nebraska at least now twice a week for some actual sparring workouts. Cause like I've said at the ITF school here in Lincoln. There is BARELY any fundamental training. Like te class is one hour and they run 2 rings and if yoyr not sparring.... you're just "WAITING" off to the side. Then I'll hear the instructors say here's what you need to work on....I'm like well....WHY DONT WE? It's called paddles, you have kicking bags.... yes you all have terrible footwork!!! Ugh! K I'm done

WTF TWD is more of a sport than a martial art... ITF TWD (my kind of TWD) has pretty good hand techniques and self-defense :) TWD is actually a deadly martial art that was used to train Korean soldiers... If used well, it can be very effective in a fight!
