If I was stuck on the side of the road with a flat tire and had no air compressor but had propane tank I never would have thought to use the propane. That's ingenious. Wow. Coolest thing I've seen on you tube.

I've heard of farmers using tanks of propane tanks instead of an air compressor to run impact guns while working on irrigation systems out in the field. Downside: If there's a spark, it can blow up. Seems like an $800 gas powered air compressor would be a good investment.

Really appreciate your common sense safety approach. I spent over twenty years working in an iron ore mine being constantly harassed by federal mining safety inspectors. I believe there is a room for some safety regulations but they should be few and far between. The way things are right now safety is a total circus. There is so many rules and some are contradictory and inspectors make new ones on the spot. My company has a guy full time whose job is to appear in court when we appeal numerous fines. He is not an attorney just a warm body to be present there for the appeal. And he is busy. Love your t-shirts too.

Awesome job, everything looks good to me the way you're doing it. My thoughts on the electrical are probably different than most. Keep it safe enough for someone to stroll though, but it doesn't need to be code because what if that well dries up in 3-6 months, or you have to move the equipment in that time to replace it or rebuild it. As long as it's not hazardous to cattle, it's definitely up to code

Another thing. Licensed electricians (and plumbers) leave a lot to be desired sometimes. I have seen things they have done that sure wouldn't be up to my standards, both safety and appearance. For one example, back in the 60's dad had put in a new water well and was busy working so he had Choctaw Electric, the service provider, run a line to the pump from the end of the house overhead. The electric bill went up every time it rained much. He got to looking and they had grounded the hot leg of the 120 volt. Of course he could not find out who had been sent out....those records had all ready been throwed away. All paper back then.

You are mistaken. NEC covers any electrical equipment in the U.S. other than planes trains automobiles, boats and, for some reason, utility companies. The fact that there is no inspection or jurisdiction does not relieve responsibility for proper wiring and installation. If there is an accident with injury, the owner of the equipment can be held liable.
