I appreciate the work that went into this video. I go to Tai Chi class at a senior center one hour per week, but definitely need some practice and reinforcement between sessions. This is so helpful, especially the slow motion.

Hi Vince, I know you mean well. Please review the 13 principles of Yang Taiji to refine your set. I think it may also benefit you to learn the applications of each movement. It is evident by the way you are executing the movements that you don't have enough experience in martial usage. As an instructor, it is your duty to constantly deepen your own experience so that you may best embody and reflect all aspects of Taiji. These demos are sadly amateurish. I've been a practitioner of Chinese martial arts since 1972 and have studied both here and in China, all under the guidance of Chinese masters. I, too, have been instructing Taiji for over 20 years and still seek the wisdom of those who can assist me in going deeper. If you are currently satisfied with your level of expertise and what you are offering your students... you shouldn't be. There is still a lot of work for you to do. Taiji is a journey of constant and never-ending improvement. I don't expect you to keep this comment visible. That's fine, as it is not my wish to embarrass you. I urge you to seek out higher-level practitioners to assist you in expanding and improving your relationship with Taiji so that you can offer and pass on higher-quality instruction to your students. I wish you well. In peace, Ron

Hi Ron. I am going to keep your post up. Your comments do not embarrass me nor do I consider myself a master of Tai Chi. I will take your advice under consideration, as I am always striving to deepen my own experience of Tai Chi. Let me give you a quote from the Preface to the 5th Edition of The Tao of Tai Chi Chuan by Tsung Hwa Jou, "We can either be frustrated by this or we can learn the way in which change, the only constant, can be employed to attain higher levels of wellness, happiness, and awareness." - Turo Vince

I practice the Martial Aspect of Tai Chi Chuan. I saw a martial Technique in all his forms. I love Tai Chi. I study the Original 13 Techniques. I think you should get to know the creator of this video before you make such a cocky claim. I challenge you to a martial tai chi Chuan Match. Knock out or tap out how do you want it 😊

Hello! Do you know which posture you are having trouble with (it's name)? I can make a longer video detailing it. I have one for Dragon Shoots the Pearl. Keep trying and don't give up!
