You remind me of my father when he use to build. The passion and enthusiasm for the build. It looks spectacular! Can't wait to see the rest of the vids!

Hey Paul, I found this site a few weeks back and have been watching since. I am eagerly waiting the final video. I love this plane and have plans on building a large scale rc model...but you have given me inspiration to start modeling again..I haven't built a plastic model in 30 years, now I can't wait to start again...Thanks!

Looking brilliant Paul! I agree with your ambitions to weather the kit, but not to uber-weather it. I have nothing but respect for those that can heavily weather things well, but I prefer mild weathering on my own builds. Cheers.

I've enjoyed watching this series. Found it about 10 days ago and have been binge-watching ever since. Question: have you thought about doing "show notes"? I've been out of model-building for 30 years, and the paint, glue, tools, techniques are all new to me. Some notes with links about the products you're using would be a great help. Thanks from Chicago, Illinois.

I wish I was brave enough to just eyeball the ratios and mix in the cup. My concern is that you end up with a 1/2 a ml or so of pure paint or pure thinner at the bottom where you can't reach to mix. I prefer to count drops and mix in another jar, but then I end up wasting some and having to worry about extra stuff to clean

Great pre-shade, but you seem to have lost it spraying the base coat. Is it just the video not catching the transparency to see the underlying pre-shade?

Paul are you using a 0.2 mm needle for the preshading ?

Hi Paul, Just watched the latest episode of the F4-U build and I must say it is looking great, I can't wait until it is all finiahed and seeing it all decaled etc, U think you are doing a really great job. If it'd not too personal to ask, how is your wife doing with the pregnacy? Cheers, Les

In my humble opinion, I think this dark blue is to dark .I've seen a lot of footage of the real ones and have build the Trumpeter F6F Hellcat which was painted in a more brilliant kind of blue. For the rest, nothing but compliments about this series.Paul did an excellent job :D

I have to agree. It looks way too dark.

Hey Paul, Is there a reason you chose to paint the entire bottoms of the wings white, instead of painting over the pre-shading with the blue?

I saw one once that was being restored, and the engine had a little plaque that said 2300 takeoff horsepower and March 1943. I mean eighteen months before they were fighting Buffalo's, now this. They must've felt how Trump does today!
