Very cool build. I just bought the newer version of this kit and holding till August 1st to start building. It’s a group build and I’m supposed to be done by December 1st. You said yours took a year to build so I’m a bit nervous cause I have work and stuff to do. Haha😅😂. But cheers! Hope your other channels and life are doing well

Beautiful Paul !!! Congrats on being a DAD!!! Must be about 7 months old buy now. As a father of 3, I can remember what very adorable age. Mine are all grown now, and as I have just retired, I am truly excited to be getting back into this hobby I love so much, scale modeling. I love to do aircraft of course as i am a commercially/instrument rated pilot, but I also love Spacecraft both real and Sci-fi. And Submarines and warships. I can't wait to get started. Tooling up now ; )

I really like watching your videos ,a question I have is this the effect you got with that wash is awesome how it highlights the rivets and the lines around the rivets etc but when i do it it comes right off with the rest i know with recessed panel lines it stays because the paper towels cant get in to the panel line but on the raised rivets and lines i can not seem to get it to not come off as I'm taking the rest of the wash off please help

When you say a year, is that because it's one of many projects on the go? I'm a slow builder and like to scratch build extras, but my models are taking about 5 months. Makes me think I could do a lot more to mine.

Nice build! I would like to be that good sometime but also can anyone tell me what to use to protect my paint work? Like when i use this pin wash it leaves marks on where ive touched the pin for the wash and then i go to remove it with mr.thinner and it ruins my paint! Any help?

It's a very beautiful model, you're very expert. I advise you to mount the version f4u-1a, it's better and more beautiful. The "Birdcage" wasn't very appreciated by pilots, because it had a bad visibility. With the second version, 1a, the "Corsair" was more appreciated. And also, could you put subtitles in foreign languages? Because you speak with a very strong american accent, it's not very easy to understand for me, because it isn't my mother language... However, thanks very much for your videos!

It was an enjoyable and instructive build but I must say the final wash left a disappointing effect. In dozens of WWII photos of Corsairs from the SW Pacific, I've never seen one with gray muck glaring out from all the panel seams like that. Quite unrealistic looking. Heavier fading of the upper paint-particularly the fabric covered parts-would have given an impression closer to reality.
@adamluscombe9305
7 жыл бұрын
Its his model, his choice, you cant complain. If you dont like it, don't do it like that then... Panel washes are often used for modelling purposes to highlight kit details and not for ultra realism. Its personal preference as to what he does to HIS model.
@danl.909

Adam Luscombe Come to that, why not just paint the thing pink, eh? It's his model after all: he can do what he likes with it. Realism in scale modeling? Bah! Let your imagination run wild!
@adamluscombe9305

Then make your model as realistic as possible then if thats what you want, and i agree, thats what i go for, but you cant criticize him fro choosing to prioritize showing details.
