what you're saying make sense, in real life, the drive train is disconnected by removing the half shaft or the main drive shaft, and making a neutral gear will prevent unnecessary drag on the tow truck, and who uses the 3rd gear anyway, it's way too fast.... when towing a 1/14 scale RC truck the motor will spin and basically generate a small current, it's not likely to damage the ESC or MFC because they all have reverse current protection and didoes which don't allow current to back feed.

Good point makes sense. Thanks for the idea.

On a tamiya model once survo is connected, u can select “nutral” by moving the survo horn manually whilst truck is off till the wheels spin freely

Put 2nd gear gears where third gear used to be, then neutral is in the center stick position. You can then tow with transmitter off.

Not sure that would work, good idea though.

Or simply just tow the truck backwards.

Can't tow it backwards if it has a trailer on it. In the real world trucks get towed with the trailer, at least here in the U.S.

@@RCXploits here in NY if we had to drop a trailer we'd bring a tractor
