Between Bad Chad fabricating the gas tank for you, and you installing the tank and all the prep work you save yourself a ton of money versus you having to buy one for $1200 from the states !! Great job to you and your buddy Chad !! 👏✌🏼😎🌬️🌬️🍻😉😁

Jim truly is a backyard mechanic. He has great knowledge and he makes due with what he has available to him. No plasma cutters, no welding machines , no four foot shear none of the stuff to make life simpler. Really need to appreciate this guys ability. Still no Louie , I’m starting to worry that maybe Louie has met his fate.

I relate to you and the comment about being the back yard mechanic because I is one. I remember when I replaced my wife’s water pump in a Pontiac Tempest in the snow so she could go to work. We do what we have to do.

@@danobrien3109 in those days, just married (1975) living in an apartment and having only some basic tools we did things we had to do. The phase of the day back then was, made it work with baling wire and duct tape. Now a days these kids don’t know what grease is and would never have it under their fingernails god forbid. 👍

In that era the gas gauge was 1 wire. That 1 wire goes thru the gauge sender to chasis ground. That means the tank must be connected to vehicle ground in a very reliable connection. If the tank loses ground the gauge will read full all the time. So it's critical to make a very secure i.e. corrosion resistant, connection. ben/ michigan

Thank you for sharing your projects with us. I thought you told me you once had some Can am dirt bike parts and bikes, do you happen to have any still?
