I'm back! I've decided after a while knowing about the mistakes in the first TAS I made, that a new one with a new route would have to be made eventually. This project started in late May, and was completed mid August, which was a much better time frame than an entire year.
The new tonicless route is pretty interesting but isn't even 15% of the new time saves that have been added to this new version of the TAS, so stick around and enjoy! :)
If you have seen the previous TAS, you don't need to read anymore of the description, and once again, Thanks for watching! :)

The following recording is a TAS, and is not actual real time speedrun. The purpose of this showcase is to show the human limit of what could possibly be done in a Any% run of Super Paper Mario
The following TAS has been video edited to match the loading times of Wii U Virtual console, with onscreen timer matching these edits. The full unedited TAS can be found in the description with TAS timing instead of modified RTA timing.
Although this is technically the fastest TAS of the game currently, this is not fully recognized as a fully optimized TAS. This TAS is not meant to be compared to the previous record, and a new fully optimized TAS is currently in the making.
Any audio oddities during loading zones are a result of editing them to match Wii U VC loading zones.
I am much more happy with this new revision of the TAS after knowing all of the mistakes in the first one. :)

Q & A
Q: How is this a “Human Theory TAS” and not just a regular TAS?
A: Unlike an actual TAS where there are no restrictions, this TAS focuses on the fastest possible scenarios, while maintaining humanly possible inputs that can be done on a normal Wii Remote. Things like multi frame perfect inputs, impossible button combinations, are banned from being used in this TAS.
Mashing was calculated using the current Game Over% WR, with a lot of menuing testing, and input testing came down to a 3 frame rule, where each input can only be 3 frames apart.
Any strats that have never been pulled off in a run or have not been done by a human RTA, are banned, with the exception being using Thudley Jumps, Gold Bar Clips, or even just not flipping in a room, in spots that people would normally not do due to inconsistency in RNG or practicality.
RNG manipulation was only used during the beginning of the game to have fast flower, and minimal RNG manipulation on some bosses to not lose an abundance of seconds, making the purpose of this TAS pointless. Item drops were not banned, but unnecessary for the current RTA any% run.
Q: Why did you do X instead of doing Y?
A: Because it was faster, or RNG sucked enough to where I had to do something differently.
There are absolutely no mistakes in this TAS, and even if there is, it does not hinder at all on the final time.
Q: Is everything in this TAS, able to be pulled off on a Wii U / real run?
A: Yes everything in this TAS is humanly possible to pull off, that is literally the whole point of this TAS.. However there are a few sections where a high amount of skill and muscle memory are needed, to where it affects human error greatly, especially in things like Peach Skip, and tight movement.
Q: This is TAS WR by minutes, why do you say it doesn’t count?
A: The short answer is because this is not an actual full on TAS, and the real TAS is still being made. I understand that even with the unoptimized gameplay to demonstrate human theory is still the TAS WR, I just wouldn’t like to think it is, until John and I actually finish the real TAS.
Thanks for watching! :)
