Therese! So glad to see her here. I've been grumbling to myself lately that I'm so tired of white cardstock as the default. I wish more folks used darker and more neutral colors, like Yana. White (to me) just always feels like such a harsh contrast while also feeling somewhat unconsidered (like why not cream or a lighter version of another color in the composition?). Not hating on anyone that loves it, just don't care for it myself.

Yes, I agree, I've been testing out many different kinds of backgrounds recently and really enjoying how the dark colours make such an impact!

I totally agree. I find white so harsh. I usually put a lot of layers on it if I do use it haha. And ink around the edge helps the harshness. I love kraft for cards. And Grey is really fun too. 😊

Loved each one of these cards! I even had an “oooo” moment when I saw the rose gold sentiment against the brown cardstock with the pretty pink ink blending! 😍 Thank you for reintroducing me to Therese. I am already a subscriber of hers, but the algorithm hadn’t been showing me her content. 😟 Now I’m about to go binge it and show the algorithm who’s the boss. 😂

These are all beautiful! For the inlaid card, I wonder if it would have been easier to not lose the little dots if the double-sided adhesive were used on the *base* instead of the "frame" piece, so both the frame piece and the inlaid pieces could stick down onto it.

Yes, that would certainly work too, I often just resort to liquid glue (but that is because I forget to add the adhesive before die cutting lol.
