Just wanted to express appreciation for the positive comments to these young men who are working hard to follow in the footsteps of their rock heroes. Your encouragement and well-intentioned feedback is much appreciated - from the Dad of the drummer :)

The drummer is next level. I hope he sticks with polyrhythms and goes at making his own. Music suggestion: Tell them to check out Lucid Planet's "II" and Kolm's "Umbra LP: kzitem.info/news/bejne/0bCa3J2ahF-oZ6A Kolm: kzitem.info/news/bejne/rXunmHuAi6OYm6w They will appreciate these. Lucid Planet is a dynamic trip.

Great performance. Tiny bit of constructive criticism mainly for the vocalist: I think practicing a bit more breath control will help make the quieter parts richer, and more energetic parts more powerful. You obviously have an ear for pitch. Join your school's choir if you aren't in it already and if that doesn't seem cool, remember Maynard was in choir too. Keep it up.

he also should listen to the song, he messed up a few parts. not that it has to be perfect but it was more the flow.

I could see the lead singer the most of the time I expected him to be on stage, F- in my book! (/s sarcasm). Honestly, keep at it! You obviously took on quite the challenge and you're pretty dang close. I wish I had more constructive criticism, but there were definitely parts that I was there in the same arena.

Thank you! Similar to the pneuma video, we only had a few rehearsals to put this together so it definitely had a few rough spots. I think all of us enjoyed this performance but we’re definitely not planning on settling- we’ll keep rehearsing and getting better. I’m glad you liked it though!

Can someone explain to me why there are like 8 amps miked up haha? What is going on in this building? Fascinated by it all.

School talent show I’m guessing. Probably amps of other bands that are going to play so that they don’t have to do a big set up/tear down between acts. Would explain why there’s a few drum kits up there too

@@nickousticmusic yep that was exactly it! My school has a guitar/rock band class and every quarter the bands get to perform at a concert together, which is why we could only play one song at this performance. For the most recent one we were able to play 2 though, and if you haven’t already you should check them out- they’re the most recent videos on this channel!

@DrGsVidsAreDope Sir, your son is utterly amazing. I could barely hold the drumsticks at his age, while already being a complete fan when Lateralus came out. It warms my heart to see this. Thank you for uploading these and keep em coming please🙏

I LOVED the slide part where he played it then dropped the slide right before the solo, true to Adam’s live performances. Awesome! Also, drummer is clearly a stud. Setting down his stick to hit the gong in the climax just like Danny. BEAST.
