Any student band that has the balls to cover Tool immediately gets respect from me. Shit is hard

True, but, I think this is a talent show. They've been doing the garage/backyard band thing for a while, I do believe. I've seen their earlier stuff & they were spanking TOOL songs then too.

I hope there was at least one or two people in that audience that could really appreciate this. That drummer looks like a true professional. Relaxed and on point. Playing polyrhythms like it’s no thing. He didn’t panic when it fell apart a couple times either. He just kept going.

@@DrGsVidzI don't get why everybody's talking about the drummer, yes he's great, but I think you guys all collectively are equal, and a band playing TOOL and being equal is hard but not out of reach, but the singers always suck, YOUR SINGER IS BY FAR THE BEST I'VE HEARD, I've been listening to TOOL since 93, they're first EP...😉🤟🏼🖤

Singer's voice is really incredible. Especially for his age. That's pretty insane. Pitching and timing may be shaky in places (it is Tool after all) but he's got the one thing you can't teach to anyone, which is tone and character. Very impressive. They'll all have great music careers if they want them, but a nice singing voice can really make the difference for someone entering this world and especially this genre. Been touring since I was 14 (28 now, still never "made it" but that's alright) and I didn't have a vocal tone that was "mine" and worth listening to until I was about 22. Still evolving every day. Can't imagine where this kid will be 10-15 years from now with his singing.

Exactly what i was thinking about the singer. Sometimes his pitch is iffy and he has room for improvement but when hes spot on he can do a really good maynard. Check back in on him in 5 years and I have no doubt he will sound amazing. All that being said he's leagues ahead of a lot of people and did an outstanding job here.

Disclaimers: 1) students only practiced this 5 or 6 times, 2) no sound engineering...just plugged in and played, 3) this is a camera recording. All that to say, YES, there are some wrinkles to be ironed out...but they'll get there.

Playing catch up on your vids and I had to come to this one as invincible is one of my favourite songs. Yes there are things to iron out but if they only had like five practice sessions before this, then they are doing well because this is a damn tough song. Look how long it takes Tool to record an album and perfect their stuff?! Cracking cover, all of them brought something to the table and I can see them really progressing! They even threw in their own hooks in there too! Extra credit goes out to the singer.
