Yes I know, the moving shot of the Atlantic is taken looking into the Sun. The reason for that is due to this being a track powered loco and their is a drop in power at the place I took the K4 on the move (which is battery powered), which means you have to be at the controls to keep it going steady. I'll do better another time hopefully.
So, it's roundy-roundy time at the old test track. I'm not really a big fan of the roundy-roundy but somebody's got to do it :) I'm more of an operations man, but it's fun going round in circles once in a while, and they can't touch you for it you know (as a well known British comedian used to say). I had the offer of pulling my train with a correctly painted loco, an Atlantic, also his mailcar. My grey undercoated K4 has been way too long waiting for it's top coat. I must sort it out. I wanted to get a shot of the Atlantic starting off and stopping but it's more difficult filming such things when the controller is fixed in a position not convenient.
My kind of filming basically involves taking some shots and then trying to fix them together into some kind of order that makes sense when I get home. I really should plan a filming session, but that's not an easy task. It's all a learning process.
