It's so hard to find products like this nowadays that even lives up to what they say it does when its brand new.

Light in the car 🤔 I don’t think so... I’m clumsy so I’d probably catch my car on fire. Cool find! It’s awesome it still works after 60 + years!

Just found a couple of these, was definitely expecting more of a flare look to them. Still neat.

That's cool. I think you nailed with the wax. My initial thought that it was some sort of fibrous material like saw dust or wood chips with a resin. Nice vid.

That would also be a good heat source or to start a fire on damp wood in a survival situation.

We make almost the same things for fire starters. Wax and sawdust works great too. Got get the compression right though or it crumples.

In those days manufacturers would add advertising to there packaging featuring there main product, this is a classic example of this.

Delco is the name of GM electronics I thought. Like the car radio. I’m confused because the box says Dry Charge. Isn’t that a battery? Yet it was a flare. I have never seen this product before. I was born in the very early 60s.

I'm thinking it was an ad on the box for the battery.

When you made this video. Did think 5 years later you'd be buzzing on coffee and eating 40 year old nasty candy and suggesting this video to be enjoyed. While comparing the flame to that 40 year old candy.
