Texas Style Brisket Recipe
Ingredients:
Whole Brisket
Kosher Salt / Ground Black Pepper / Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
Step by step instructions:
- Trim the brisket and cut off excess fat and discolored ends
- Apply brisket rub (6 parts of ground black pepper / 2 part kosher salt / 1 part Lawry's Seasoned Salt)
- Set your smoker up to 200 degrees and place your brisket in
- Smoke until internal temp reaches 180
- Pull the brisket from the smoker and put it in foil boat
- Place brisket back in the smoker and run the smoker at 250
- At internal temp at 200, pull the brisket
- Rest in kitchen oven at 170 for 5 hours
- Slice and serve
