Yeah that's how the industry runs. It's oe vs oem vs oes, original equipment, manufacturer, supplier. Same thing all around and BMW kit made by Sachs and sold by Sachs is half price of BMW logo-ed one, just with BMW logo removed. Same exact kit.

I tried an Exedy clutch in my S2k, didn’t work right, brought back to shop to swap for OEM. Lesson learned, S2k’s are a whole different beast than typical Honda’s; so, either go with OEM or performance upgrade. Anything else will not hold, partly because the S2k clutch works backwards compared to normal clutches.

Let me introduce you to an amazing gem of the car community over in europe, FCPeuro. They specialize in sourcing parts from OEM manufacturers where they either grind or omit the stamp. They have details about it all over their website and why it should be trusted. Us BMW people are so happy this actually exists, it's kind of unfortunate that it's not as common with Japanese products. As to the source of the parts for the s2000, the agreement from the manufacturer probably was finally over and they are allowed to sell now as long as they are not including Honda brand.

Ha, just posted same thing before reading the comments. Great minds think alike, and apparently so do ours! Since FCP is in my backyard, I asked the owners if they would expand to Japanese car parts. They told me they already tried! They called it FCP Import. The problem was Civic owners aren't as civil or civic compared to BMW and VW owners and the other Marks their Euro products cover. People using parts, then trying to return for refund as new. Abusing their customer services. When people would bungle the repair, they'd blame FCP diy video. Other bad behaviours that meant they didn't make any money, and it was nothing but hassles. Maybe we could get them back on board if they only concentrate on collectible Imports. S2000, NSX, Type R stuff, Supra, 240z-300z, rx7, etc.

@@DIYGuysvideo Because it clutch fork t's like a jackhammer vibrating the piston From the push rod to the slave cylinder and it's introducing air into the system ... air compressor.... The air goes right pass the seals... But it doesn't lose any fluid

That's a good question. Historically I have always bought used AP1 flywheels on eBay and had them resurfaced by a local machine shop. I'm thinking that a new aftermarket lightweight flywheel should be fine though. As used AP1 flywheels get more and more expensive it will make more sense to go aftermarket.
