Indeed a useful video and a welcome addition to your channel. The best takeaway is “owning your own business/investment.” Could you also do a video on the financial responsibility and legal framework of ownership? Perhaps dig into the how to get started or how to determine which business is good to own based on the individual’s skills and other qualities.

In our society, money is a representation of power. Whether you are rich or not, money affects every aspect of your life from the clothes you wear to the food that you eat. Money has been used as a tool to measure success in society and has been used as an incentive for people who are struggling in life - taunting them with what they could have if they work hard enough. In other words, money is the root of all evil - or at least it will be if we don’t start changing our mindset towards it in America.

You mean the big boys that are typically making even more money during market turmoil? No... it's the middleweight that gets thrown off balance. The majority of the big boys got big through chaos.

How does one invest in an index fund exactly? Do you buy SPY from NYSE? Or SPX from... somewhere else? And do these index funds behave exactly like stocks, except for the fact that you miss out on dividends? Or do you need to pay regularly to keep them? And if so, who do you need to pay? And are you an owner in all the companies they track, or are you merely an owner of ... your share of the index fund? And do different index funds behave differently? For example, are Vanguard "ETF" index funds, such as VOO, different from SPY or SPX? If so, how? As you can tell, I'm a bit confused about this :) It would be really nice if you could make a video detailing exactly how index funds work.

@@TheBetterMenProject Thank you, looking forward to it. I'm also wondering how these funds come into existence and how they benefit whoever creates them. If I was The Motley Fool and I was considering creating an index fund, why would I want to do that, and how would I go about it? Understanding things from this side can help with understanding how and why they work the way they do.

History has shown than investing in a index fund such as VOO or whatever tracks the S&P 500 you beat the market managers over a long period of time. DCA is the key, keep buying, one day you will be thankful.

Great observation! We are not calculating inflation since we don’t know future inflation patterns and we don’t want to guess these numbers. The video calculation are the raw numbers where inflation would need to be taken into consideration. Good catch!
