A brilliant progression from his art film "Steps" where he pioneered this cutout technique of placing actors into existing films - in the case, it was American tourists walking around the Odessa Steps sequence of Eisenstein's Battleship Potemki. A true visionary and inspiration. Let's not forget his Oscar for the amazing short film "Tango" which, like many of his amazing early works was ripped off for advertising and music videos.

I remembered seeing this when it first came out in Oakland California. I loved it so much, and was enchanted by this strange and mysterious band named "The Art of Noise" I was a young, Naive Rocker Boy who only understood Guitars and Men with high vocal ranges dressed in Women's clothing singing about Women. Come years and years later, this movie widened my world and undstadnging as to what music could be, especially electronic music. You are still my core inspiration when I made tracks now

I love the concept that followed the Italian "Futurismo", but I also love entertaining songs like this one. ;)

While it's far from a great film, Dragnet may be topped only by Some Like It Hot for the Best Last Line of a comedy -
