He doesn't sound warmed up when he starts to sing, but then it just becomes amazing. The reason they're so damn good is because they groove so well together. Their live show was incredible, the best show I've ever seen.

I heard this song one night in a Starbucks being played in their system and it really caught my attention. As soon as I got home I looked up the song and have now listened to it a thousand times. I even wanted this as my wedding song, when I was engaged. Beautiful song, underrated band.

Load the car and write the note Grab your bag and grab your coat Tell the ones that need to know We are headed north One foot in and one foot back But it don't pay, to live like that So i cut the ties and i jumped the tracks For never to return Ah Brooklyn Brooklyn take me in Are you aware the shape I'm in My hands they shake my head it spins Ah Brooklyn Brooklyn take me in When at first I learned to speak I used all my words to fight With him and her and you and me Oh but its just a waste of time Yeah its such a waste of time That woman shes got eyes that shine Like a pair of stolen polished dimes She asked to dance I said it's fine I'll see you in the morning time Ah Brooklyn Brooklyn take me in Are you aware the shape im in My hands they shake my head it spins Ah Brooklyn Brooklyn take me in Three words that became hard to say I and love and you What you were then, I am today Look at the things I do Ah Brooklyn Brooklyn take me in Are you aware the shape I'm in My hands they shake my head it spins Ah Brooklyn Brooklyn take me in Dumbed down and numbed by time and age Your dreams to catch the world, the cage The highway sets the travelers stage All exits look the same

I saw these guys playing for free in the streets of Winston-Salem, and even when I was that young, they brought so much life with their unique sound and presence. I am so proud of how far they have come! I am 15 years old now, and my grandfather, who introduced us to them is gone now, but I am eternally grateful to him for leading me to probably one of my favorite bands of all time. Love them! Always will!

It's crazy to look side by side the music released. Simon and Garfunkel released 5 albums. The Avett Brothers have already released 9 studio albums. Plus, the Avett brothers don't seem like douchbags. I can't picture Sean or Seth Avett turning on each other. I'm sure they have many more great songs (albums) to come. Paul Simon (While a great artist). Is an insecurce d*ck beater that suffers from Napoleon syndrome. If he wasn't so insecure and arrogant Simon & Garfunkel would be even more recognizable to new generations. Hopefully the Avett Brothers keep going
