Good video, thanks! I'm a Beretta fan from WAY back (b4 the military adopted it). I currently run a M9A3. You didnt mention one VERY UNIQUE feature. The M9A3 (and i assume the A4) is the ONLY pistol i can think of that can be disassembled with the thread protector ON. Think of every other threaded bbl you've dealt with, can ANY of them be field stripped without taking off the thread protector (lemme know if im missing one). Not talking shit, just putting up one more reason to agree with you - this pistol is amazing! Action is smooth as glass, it's relable (with or without a can), accurate. It's big and heavy BUT... so are some of the best women 😁 so wtfvr 👍

Most of the problems with the Berettas in the service were not replacing recoil springs and using crappy aftermarket mags that were not either Mecgar or Beretta. I purposefully bought my own magazines when I deployed.

The beretta 92 in general is a highly underrated firearm. Even to this day the beretta 92FS is one of the most reliable, accurate, safe and soft shooting pistols. The new versions are just that much better.

Hey !! great video just wanted to let you know you are a bit off regarding berettas submission to the XM17 program. The M9A1 was submitted by Beretta prior to the XM17 - It had all the updates from Berettas 92 commercial version that had been implemented post-M9 technical package. The Marine Corps had the M9a1 outside procurement channels. since Beretta was the manufacturer of record they were allowed to submit this pistol as an update once the army started talking XM17. That was the M9a3 (Beretta’s nomenclature) It met about 80% of the requirements including modularity but was rejected by the army who then went ahead with the XM17 trials - Beretta’s submission was the APX which also has a FCU like the Sig but was too kooky looking and did not make the cut. Once the Sig was adopted as the M17 and M18 Beretta put everything it had developed along the way into the M9A4 you have there - it’s a fantastic pistol. BTW Beretta had also developed an M9A2 which was a retrofit of all the existing M9s with the updated tactical package. saving the army $$ by using the pistols they already had. sorry for the long explanation. cheers. btw Check out Mike @ Small Arms Solutions channel - he’s done a few really good videos on the topic.

Questions, 1. I have 3 18 round magazines and only 1 can get 18 rounds in it and the other 2 will only load 17 no matter how much I try with a loader. 2. The magazine with 18 rounds won’t seat into the gun unless the slide is locked back, is this normal?
@sacrificialscience4405
7 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure they are only 16 round mags. If you put more rounds in it than it is supposed to hold, you are basically making the mag too long to fit in the gun with the slide forward.
