I am watching this a year after you made it and apparently things are different over at Melda productions. I was all excited to get the Monastery piano, so I went through this incredibly complicated process, including DL'ing the honking 3.52 GB (!?) plugin, running their installer, choosing a bunch of plugins I couldn't have cared less about. At the end of the ordeal, it didn't work, so uninstalled the roughly 6GB of files it has dumped on my laptop. Too bad, the samples sounded awesome. as a pianist with some rather avant-garde tastes, I was really looking forward to making a piece using the "creative" version of the piano. It has these files with a proprietary .mproduct file extension that my system didn't know how to handle. Sticking the files manually into the program files\common\VST3 directory on my machine (where all the other plugins work just fine) didn't help either. Any suggestions?

Hello, ty for the video. I tried them on mac and still stick on keyzone steinway (only 300Mo...). The plugin is crashing 1/2 time... but to me the sound is unmatched with others. The Monastery Grand has weird sound on the 3rd octave (hold E flat for example and it finished with a weird vibrating sound) or maybe it's just me. What would be great is that you'd make a comparison table with some decent criteria like sound, playability, which style of music to play with etc... That could give us much more keys to actually choose. I say that cause it seem it's a subject you are treating often. Keep the good work, ty and hf!

I seem to be struggling to install the Monastery Grand free plugin. Mike gives 2 links The first link takes you to the download page for the MonasteryGrand MSoundFactory instrument. So you end up with an MProduct file. The second link takes you to the MSoundFactory page where you can choose the Full, LE or Free version. As I want the latter, when I select that version and click on the Windows download button I end up downloading their Universal Installer. When I use that it reaches the screen where I select the plugins I want to install but that doesn't include MonasteryGrand or MSoundFactory. If I could find MSoundFactory in Cakewalk I might be able to progress but I'm stuck!
@imtoolazytomakeupaname
4 жыл бұрын
I suppose when they asked what items you want to download, you selected the MFreeFXBundle? 1. You're also gonna want to select MSoundFactory within that bundle, as thats not included within this free bundle. 2. Create an instrument track within your DAW, open the virtual controller, and click the menu button near the top right corner. 3. Select install product, create sample path folder and move the MSoundFactory file into that folder. Now you should be able to access Grand Monastery under keyboards>piano>Grand Monastery. Although for mine MSoundfactory says there's 14 days left in the settings and that scares me. But for now it seems to work. I had the same problem as you did (site installation guide was not helpful). Downloading VSTs can be puzzle sometimes xD, I have multiple other VSTs sitting in my computer that I've given up trying to get working cause they're so dang hard to install and most of some seem to have different installation processes. Hope this helps

And yes, I was not able to install the piano or the player via their downloader app after an hour of tinkering.

@@plumbus2153 First you need to download their MAudioPlugins installer. In it, you need to install MSoundfactory. You need to click it on top of the window, it is not set by default. On the right, you can check what plugins you are installing. You should see 1 plus or any number of plugins you choose from the list. Then run your DAW and from the VST instrument on the track choose MeldaProduction/MSoundfactory. In it, search for the Grand piano and download it and install it (still from the VST). Then it should be possible to use it from the instrument list in the MSoundfactory VST. I installed it twice and even the second time it took me half an hour to remember the procedure. I wonder how the "manual" installation would look like then... But the piano really is the best.

@@plumbus2153 Do not download it separately. Download the universal installer from the link you used - it is the blue button. Then run it and install all options on the first page, then on the second page choose the MSoundfactory player on the top - you need to click on the item. Then put a VST instrument on track in your DAW, find MSoundfactory and FROM THIS you will be able to download the grand piano (3.5 GB). It is not a separate program.
