My Omen 45L with 14900K and 4090 has been rock solid, same for the other Omen 45L with 12900K and 3080Ti, if I hadn't got good refurb deal on 12900k and crazy amazing deal on the 4090. I would be on AMD 7800X3D and 7900XTX and build myself and follow Jason's advice closely esp for PSU, Memory and SSD!

The new format stinks! One of the main reasons I was subscribed to your channel was to keep up with used GPU prices - for many of us on low income, the used market is the only way to get a GPU that actually has decent bang for buck. Please bring the old price to performance tables back!

@@Shima33BB The used prices are too variable and he would be spending hours researching that, just find the card you want and look for a deal. The 3080, 3080ti, 3090, 3090Ti are all great cards other than power hungry. On the AMD side tons of deals but not my wheelhouse.

Bit late now, but you can pick them up from Amazon Japan for between ¥95,000 to ¥105,000. In store I would suggest Tsukumo (one of the two stores) in Akihabara, they tend to have a good range of GPUs, but you tend to pay more in store than on Amazon. And the returns policy in Japanese stores is quite terrible

I am considering upgrading my RTX 4060 8Gb and Ryzen 5 5600X 6 core, 16Gb DDR4 RAM, to the RTX 4070 Super 12Gb, Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8 core, 32Gb of DDR4. I mainly currently game at high to ultra at 1080p 60+ fps with 1440p DLSS and Frame generation, when available, with little to no problem. But playing Black Myth Wukong and Space Marine 2, though stable, has shown me that I don't have long left with my current build. I feel that for some more longevity out of my AM4 rig that upgrading to the 4070 Super and Ryzen 7 will give me 3 to possibly 4 more years at high to ultra 1080p, 1440p 60 or more fps until I have to invest in a full entire new AM5 system. Any thoughts?

In summary, the GPU market is pretty much stagnant, trending slightly negative. The budget GOAT 6700/6750 card stock is dwindling and the 6800 is gone. 7700 XT price point is getting a bit better, the 7800 XT is closer to what it should be. In the Nvidia camp the 4060/4060 Ti cards remain overpriced turds that people can't seem to get enough of and the 3060 just doesn't have the performance to justify the price. My recommendations: Budget level, none. Save your cash for something better. Entry-Mid Tier: 7700/7800 XT. Mid Tier: Nvidia 4070 Super 7800 XT/7900 GRE. Enthusiast 4080 Super/7900 XTX.

But after three months of seeing GRE prices not fall significantly, I've decided to move the 7900XTX from my 13700K machine to my 7800X3D machine. As a 7900xtx owner for high end I'd pretty much only recommend the 7900XT for raster and the 4070ti super for RT enthusiasts for some decent value. Maybe 4090 prices will go down when the 5090 is out and instantly out of stock and sold for 3500 bucks shortly after..but the 4090 has kind of old hardware and ports in it and there is still this highly questionable power connector. Id probably wait for the 5080 if I was to buy a new high end card for mostly gaming purposes and RT. In the lower midrange the 6700XT/6750XT remain the value kings, grab those while u can! The 6700XT is a very nice capable card for its price (I owned one). 145 watts max load undervolted+OC for a nice 1440p gaming experience.

Both the 7900 XT and the 4070 Ti Super perform about the same in rasterized scenarios, the difference is so small that it's not perceivable. The 4070 Ti Super is objectively the better GPU since it also comes with superior Ray Tracing, playable Path Tracing, better Power Efficiency and other things like CUDA and better Streaming/VR support. The 7900 XT only makes sense when you're on a tight budget and the 4070 Ti Super is beyond it.

I have a PC with a special PSU, that can accept any voltage from 12 V to 48V, and it can Provide a maximum of 400W system wide. The system is running as it is, but I'd like to install the best possible GPU in this system, while obviously remain under max power...

I really appreciate the content. Will be building my first PC soon, just stuck on waiting or buying now. More curious if prices will drop on existing GPUs when new GPUs come out. Then curious what the 5080 has to offer as well as the 8000 series. Any future review of the 7600x3d???

Don't overlook getting a good deal on a used GPU. Just make sure you do research. Get as much information on how it was used and how long.

I always wondered why the 7600xt has 16gb of vram while the 7700xt has only 12. I don't know if the 7600 actually benefits from having 16 over 12. I bet the performance would be the same. Just like the A770. I think 12 would have plenty. Or just put 16 on the 7700xt. I wonder if that 12gb gonna hold it back in the next few years over the 6800 with it's 16gb.

It's the memory chips and controllers, it's either 4GB, 8GB or 16GB or it's 3/6/12/24GB. 7600XT + A770 + 4060Ti 16GB was aiming for being the choice for cryptominers.

You forgot 6800xt, which is $50 less than 7800xt. The preforms are similar. If not, better some games at the cost of higher power draw.

I recently got the Gigabyte 7800 xt along with the AMD 7800x3d, MSI Tomahawk mb and the Team Group T-CREATE EXPERT 32GB ram. I'm really happy with my purchase (performance is excellent) with one exception, it takes seemingly forever to boot. Any suggestions on a fix?
@PCBuilderChannel

DDR5 still takes quite a bit longer to boot than DDR4 systems. Make sure you are on the latest bios update. You can also enable Memory Context Restore so it doesn't retrain the RAM each time. If your system is unstable after that you may need to turn it off. Also run a RAM stress test like TestMem5 or MemTest86 to see if your RAM might be the issue.

@PCBuilderChannel Thank you sir. Context restore seems to have done the trick. This is my first sojourn with an MSI board (was an Asus fan until recently) and am really liking what I'm seeing so far.

Strange you say that, cause on the online PC store i usually buy my things cause it has cheapier prices, none of those you showed as under 400 are all above that price, do you mean the price is going to drop soon? cause i'm kinda interested on a RX 7700 XT 12GB🤔

@PCBuilderChannel next I'm wanting to upgrade my cpu and motherboard. Currently have a i511400f processor, with the new card I need more umpt now! Any recommendations for cpu/motherboard combos for gaming for around $500? I was looking at the 15-12600k with Asus Prime Z790-P board, combod together just under $400 off Amazon. Didn't know if you had any recommendations. Thanks!!

Thinking of getting an A770 16GB and as you mentioned day 1 drivers is not a big issue for me. I saw somewhere A770 had a huge performance bump with an driver update so i think there is some more hidden potential to it rather than getting an generation old 6700 or 6750 for this budget what do you think ?
@PCBuilderChannel

I am a lot more confident recommending them now but the 6700 6750 is obviously better if you want to ensure no day one issues

Hey I have an A770 16GB (Asrock's 3-fan version) and it's great! I've had very few bugs with it since when I bought it back in January and it's perfect at 1440p in games. Also a beast at video recording, streaming, and editing, as well as being pretty decent in Blender, so I'd definitely recommend it for whatever you plan on using it for.

I will be getting either a RTX 3060 OR RTX 4060 in November (same price here in Australia on Amazon), I am leaning towards the 3060 for the extra ram, BUT the 4060 frame generation is interesting. The 4070 supers are almost $1000AUD!
@kelley09162
8 күн бұрын
Yes the 3060 would be the way to go assuming you really want Nvidia. The cheapest 4060 Ti 16GB is 700-730 depending on the model and the cheapest 4070 Super I see is 870-900

Not only i "had" to buy a 6500XT 185€ back in early 2021 as not a single another new gpu were under 400€ in my country, but now she collapse on herself with constant blue screen of death, black screen , auto disconnect in the windows hardware panel... Not even speaking about the bad drivers issues since all those months even with DDO and a full Windows install on another SSD and motherboard it keep being atrocious... I don't care about the best price to performance right now i just want a gpu that work flawlessly and that may be the 3060 12Gb because it's the most mainstream GPU and so i hope the most care of by Nvidia driverwise

Hi Jason, great video! Got a question for you. I am doing a full build and have started buying new parts. I already bought the 7800x3d and am looking for a GPU to pair with it for 1440P gaming for now but likely upgrading to 4K when GTA 6 comes out. I was going to buy the 4080 super, but this video has me thinking now should I not buy it? I currently have a 2080 and am in desperate need for an upgrade. Should I go "cheaper" and get something like the 7900xt and upgrade to 5000 series next year, or just go 4080 super, budget is not an issue except 4900.

What would be more worth the money a Msi xs ventus 1660 super for €90-€100? Or a asus strix 1070ti for €130-€150? I’m pairing it with a i5-8 gen or a Xeon e5-1620.
