@JoshtheRVNerd

Sorry - I'm going to hop on my soap box for a minute because I think the specificity is important: "Four seasons" is not really a thing. It's a marketing term that's abused greatly with very little (if any) actual definition from MFGs. It can easily get -50 with wind chill in places like south dakota. No RV is made for that. This RV forces the 2nd air, uses the RV airflow system, and has a reflective backside on the blackout shades to help with sun exposure. But it's not made to be able to handle "extreme" weathers. @@PreppingAngel

@@JoshtheRVNerd I am in Tennessee. :) We get maybe 2 or 3 days of like 9 degrees a year IF a polar vortex dips down. Last year and a little this year we had 3 days of cold. Most years we stay in the 40's and nights dip down to the upper 20's-low 30's. There is also a LOT of sun so even my house warms with cold. Those windows should work that way too But we intend to put it under a "port" so the sun /weather will make the roof last longer. I'm just looking for a unit with a good-decent R value to keep in the heat and cooling. I pretty much have been doing a lot of research. We need something moveable for this location while we work on the house and then move it to raw property while we build our homestead. We have a 14x40 building for storage and other things the RV won't support like our freezer, washer and dryer etc. I don't want the vibration from those units in the RV or the weight. :)

Now that is a great budget vacation home, buy it, have it towed and park it, period. I am not thinking of a park to put this in I am thinking a piece of property the buyer would own for this. Have a level site for it with power, water, a nice 500-gallon propane tank and sewer, block up the frame remove the tiers and store and you are good to go. Oh, and I forgot build a nice deck off the sliding door and the rear door. Cut the counter. One question I have is what the furnace rating is, how many BTU. It would be good to know for fall and winter use. Outside storage is not an issue as you will have a utility shed for storage.

For me personally with that amount of windows, they need to consider switching to mini split residential style, air conditioning set up. They should put in three ceiling cassettes and then one smaller wall mounted unit in the front bedroom. The mini splits are much more efficient than RV air-conditioning systems. as others have, I would prefer this layout with less windows and also maybe have the second bathroom as a pantry and make it optional for the bathroom.

Is it a 4 season insulation package? Upgraded windows? They didn't listen to anything I said on multiple channels. lol The fireplace next to the bed? Put it at the foot. Does it come in warmer colors inside? I like that they moved the fridge so the door doesn't have problems opening. Although I would want an upper and lower instead of the "pantry" cabinet. That would give some more counter space next to the stove and not feel so cubby closed off. Put that kitchen island up against that window so serving outside would be more convenient. I can see why they do what they did for seating but we don't need that. I would want the sink in the main bath to be on the other side. Eliminates water up against that cabinet wall. A tub option would be great. All in all when we buy this one is still on the list but I would have to make changes after purchase. The main one being the fireplace in the bedroom. A bathroom in/at the kitchen is just a big no for me. I like the other one better without the bathroom there and convert that area to a pantry and move the fridge. If I could order one with the options and build I would change, it would be perfect. I would do what my neighbor did that has a park model on her sons property. Nix the heating and cooling and install a mini split. What is the R value of the insulation?

Love the space! One thing that always bugs me (on all RVs) is the electrical outlet placement. I think the outlet on the stairs is way too high. I personally don't want to see cords hanging. Maybe they could align with the other outlet on the window wall, making it just above the couch. The storage lid won't be up all the time so that shouldn't be an issue. Thanks so much for all your work!

They need a better sound system for the tv. Just having a sound bar with no built in cd/dvd or blu ray is taking a step backwards. Alot of people looking at trailers are used to having a pretty nice sound system in their house and want something decent in their vacation home. The half bath is a smart move, maybe make it a little bigger. Otherwise it’s got most of the features we’re looking for.

I want to begin that. I appreciate your input and respect what you’re saying. Thank you for taking the time to share. I must be one of those weirdos that is OK with just TV speakers.
