Any gaming laptop will be powerful enough to run all the plugins and softwares u need to make music. I would suggest you if u want to just make music and play really old or games which require less hardware power, any laptop/ultrabook with a 10th gen intel/Ryzen 5 will get u by just fine. But if u wanna play games too, I would suggest u get a decent gaming laptop with a good CPU and ample RAM to spare. A pc with a good cpu and 16 gigs of RAM will be enough for all your needs too, if looked at the right placed and waited for the right time, u can build a custom PC with a really good CPU and maybe over 16 gigs of ram for cheaper than a gaming laptop... It'll also supply your gaming needs since inbuilt graphics got so good over the past few years.

As you were measuring the mixing space, it looked like it was closer to 37” or was that just the angle of the camera? I’m curious of the exact measurements because the console I am looking it is 36.87” total.

Are the surfaces directly in front of the RU flat (stable) to set my coffee cup? As seen at 1:24 in your clip? I really like the idea of this desk, and I know it sounds like a silly question...but I don’t know how I feel about the majority of the surface area being at an angle. Anyway, I love the look of your new setup, and obviously I would use a coaster.

Unfortunately monitor mounts on console desks creates a fixed distance which means the Listening Distance (from the monitor to your ears) will be too short. This is why movable and height adjustable studio monitors on stands behind the desk is the best solution. The average Listening Distance recommendation for 6.5" studio monitors is 1.4 meters or 4'-7".

Nice but tough for those of us with DAW control surfaces Also it’s nice to get the midi 88 under and slid away when not in use My sit/stand motorized stand is a lovely addition to accommodate various height keyboard players and guest producers as well as tracking guitar, bass while standing But more desktop rack space is crucial so that’s a great feature on your build Mine is quite limited topside With cubes of semi essentials all about the patch bays from my younger days circa 1978 Yup 65 and still going BTW how do you like the Warm audio LA clone I’m fortunate enough to have the Teletronix La2a from ‘69 but I picked one up for $700 Still a great deal of bread as HH income was less than $20,000 a year back then Still a change from grey to silver faced after Putnam bought the company But who knew what would be the big thing in the future we all looked towards digital tech with computers just surfacing There was much to purchase very reasonably then But to the point that specific piece along with a Eventide H-3000 will remain top side

Yes I like the look more, but I also want a lot more rack space, and that’s where the Output Desk is limited. Cable management wise, this desk is also just untouchable. Overall, the Output desk doesn’t come close to the desk in this video. 🙈

I have question...please. I use the KZitem Audio Library for all of my video soundtrack music. I have a question about re-mixing. I would assume that adding "my own" lyrics to a KZitem Audio Library "track", is a violation.. (re-mixing) correct? So I would have to get permission from the composer.. correct? In the "highly' unlikely event that my video went viral. The composer would automatically get his royalty's from KZitem anyway wouldn't' they? This would be just a simple wildlife video for my channel, not a music video. "Thank You" in advance!

Problem is that you might be sitting too close to the speakers. Even for fairly small speakers, the distance required for the bass and treble elements to "sum up" is usually around 1.5 meters. So, when having the speakers on the desk, there's a big chance you're too close to them for them to do their job the way they should. Those look like potentially 8" speakers, which means the summing distance is probably more than 1.5 meters, even. Also, it may be that you're not forming an equilateral triangle, between you and the speakers. That means your stereo image will be unnaturally wide. These things are not much of a problem for music production, but it won't fly for mixing, and definitely not for mastering.
