@@ThunderHead289 Sweet. I'm making a carb cheater of my own because someone gave me an arduino and I love the concept and it's definitely a challenging project to learn how to code on. I'm using a 4 pin stepper idle air valve and a H bridge motor driver. I just bought a used a cr-10 printer and I downloaded fusion 360 and cura yesterday and managed to design and slice a 1.5 inch 2300 style carburetor spacer with 2 7/16s holes on the side for 1/4 ntp threads. Print time for it is a day lol I'd love to make an arduino delay the signal from the magnetic pickup and set your timing with it delayed and let's say you're cruising and your running around 14.7 and vacuum hasn't dropped below 15 pounds or whatever your threshold is for a minute then it'll start to add a little timing because if I set my vacuum advance with my base AFR tune then I make it more lean using the cheater I'll theoretically need more timing because it'll take longer for the flame propagation. Please note that this is all for personal use and for my own dumb ideas keep up the good work I think what you're doing is one of the coolest things ever

@ThunderHead289
Жыл бұрын
Commonly referred to as run-on. Usually caused by the throttle being open too much at idle - this happens as a compensation by the user when the initial timing is too low. Advance initial timing and reduce curb idle screw. Could also be a vacuum leak, but one big enough to do that "should" be pretty obvious

Carbureted Rev limiters cut ignition, fuel is still drawn from the carb, when your rapidly cutting different cylinders on and off, you get a pretty good flame action going on
