I know. As a teen, when I fought with my mom, had a bad day or just because I was a teen and needed to. I’d go to my room, close the door, put a Carpenters album on the turntable and zone out to Karen’s voice. I could feel her pain, though I didn’t know then what was her pain, and it cleansed out mine. Very cathartic, though I didn’t know this word then, it was just Karen.

I can't listen to it without grieving for her all these years after her death. But it's somehow wonderful to listen to it and to remember her wonderful talent and priceless life.
