Boston has been battle tested for 6 mabey 7 years. They have been knocking on the door for 8 years now. 8 ECF appearances, 2 NBA finals appearances. All failures that have taught them how to seize the moment now in 2024. Boston dominating this year shows you how much better they are than everyone in the east. Boston has been battle tested for years now. They don't need 1 year of playoffs to get tested. The past 7 to 8 years have already done that for the Celtics.

Lets face it. The media & public’s disdain for the Celtics clouded their judgment. There was zero reason to pick Dallas to win this series, Boston was clearly the better team all year. Not to mention in the 2 matchups this season Boston destroyed Dallas. The 2nd being a 28 point ass whooping post trade deadline when Dallas had PJ, Gafford and were on a roll. If KP was 100% this would be a 4 game sweep with an average margin of victory in double figures

Funny thing about this comment I actually made this statement on another channel that took a poll on who is going to win. I didn’t base it on KP’s health though.

I still give Dallas a chance and a pretty good chance at that. Boston did what they were supposed to do, they kept home field advantage, all Dallas have to do is defend their court and win one game in Boston where it hasn’t been that impossible in the past few years. Game 3 will be the deciding factor of the series, if Dallas doesn’t come out in a sense of urgency during game 3 and help Luka then this series is officially over. Until it goes to Dallas, it is meaningless talking about the first two games since Boston is the higher seed and they played in Boston, that’s the reason why if the road team wins one of the 1st two games, it’s considered as a major upset.

And another example of just because you’ve played the game and have the experience doesn’t correlate or mean you can talk basketball. A lot of football analysts throwing in their casual takes on the finals is very glaring as well too and I don’t wanna hear any excuses when it’s all said and done by them. To not realize how bad of a match up this is for Dallas going up against Boston is criminal work 💀

Me and the fellas at work, felt everybody on television and radio were delusional. I don’t know what they watched during the season that made them think Dallas was the better team. It was so much downtime and boredom that they had to make some BS idea that Dallas was the better team. I knew our back court alone was going to give them a problem. We have the two best defense guards in the whole entire league.

I've never gotten the "Boston is not battle tested" to begin with. Horford, Brown and Tatum have been several ECFs, and played in the Finals against a tough Golden State team. Jrue Holiday won a championship with Milwaukee. Derrick White has at least 40 playoff games and came thru in big moments. The sports media is really all about creating narratives now instead of actually looking at the facts.

After all the hate the Celtics have received and how the media and haters have jumped on the Mavs bandwagon it's just going to make this championship run even sweeter. This Celtics team is just to well rounded and any player on any given night can step up and be the star. Mavs fans and people who picked the Mavs are just running on hope now. Let's go Celtics! #18🏆☘️

You can’t talk about Jrue popping off and ignore that 6 of his shots were assisted by Tatum (12 assists). Jrue was the glue, but JT has been the engine and completely taking advantage of the defensive pressure on him. Nonetheless, Boston can play sooo much better

Ironic that UD picked dallas when the core of Tatum, Brown, White, even holiday have battled the Miami Heat for 5 years. Have you seen those dogs play? If you survived Jimmy and crew with their superstar coach in multiple playoff matches, You are as battle tested as they come. Cmon UD.

Doncic, Irving, and Lively, and Washington. The Mavs were a few short of what typically makes a Finals run. It was meant to be the Nuggets, but sadly Mike Malone did not trust his bench enough and gassed his players and lost to an inferior T-Wolves team. But I think they had to work harder against the LakerRefs in the first place, and that didn't help matters.

a 2-0 deficit isn't the end of the world? it looks like there have been a total of 458 times there was a 2-0 lead in the playoffs. 424 (92.6%) teams who went up 2-0 went on to win the series. 34 (7.4%) teams who trailed 0-2 were able to recover. i suppose it isn't "the end of the world", but with a 7.4% historical success rate what do we call this?

JT, JB, Horford, White, and Pritchard were all in the 22 finals and they’ve been to multiple ECF. Also Jrue has won a chip so really KP is the only Celtic that hasn’t been “tested”. The Celtics core has waaay more playoff experience than the Mavs.
